Just like I was getting confident in riding the whole mountain, I decided to accompany some expert skiers down quite a famous 007 related black run, in what can only be called not ideal conditions... after serious protests from myself, I finally chose to snow goggles simply to find that these highly experienced twin plankers were side slipping down the mountain!!!
It's the weirdest thing when you can see other folks on the slopes perfectly but can't see the slope it self... there has been instances when I've genuinely thought I had come to a stop but hadn't, and then fell quite heavily, such may be the manner your brain is fooled by such conditions. The end result from these experiences for me has been to find a set of snowboarding goggles giving you as much of an advantage in flat/low light conditions as possible.
