I have a few friends who're writers, too - of varying examples of success. I've plied them for secrets, tips, advice - and even should they wanted to give me advice, none of it was ever very helpful.

It has all sorts of things to help spur you on, also it really is the kick in the pants that i have needed in my writing.

I desired to write this MyNovel 4.0, not necessarily cause I'm sure here is the most sensible thing ever created for this kind of purpose, but instead because I know there are A LOT of people out there like me - wannabe writers who enjoy the craft but lack the focus - who could really benefit from something similar to this.
