PopUps Good friend or Enemy?

Let's say that you have decided to learn more about something so you do a search online. You then choose one of several results that Google supplies and click on it. Then, once the site finishes loading, big surprise! Rather than getting to dig in the subject material that you'd been hoping to see so that you can go on learning about your chosen subject, you are given a big giant pop up ad. This pop up is an advertisement and no matter how many times you attempt to shut it down, it won’t close—unless you enter your e-mail address. Eventually you are so upset that you just close down your internet browser completely. The site owner has won!

So many individuals really really can't stand pop ups and they have a good reason to feel that way. They are usually truly annoying. They intrude on the internet use. When they play audio or other sounds automatically they get you in trouble at work or with the people in your family who are also in the room. They make extravagant claims. If you would like to close them you often have to give up your personal information. Some even put malware and cookies inside your computer systems. There are not very many people who actually like experiencing pop-ups and yet most IMers continue to use them. Why is this?

The unfortunate and easy truth is that Internet Marketers use pop-up ads because they work. They receive attention. They allow them to build e-mail marketing and advertising lists. It has been proven again and again that a pop up ad will generate more opt ins than an opt in box placed in a sidebar or in the body of a web page. Often even direct sales happen as a consequence of them. Unfortunately, these stupid web pests truly get the job done and, until someone thinks of something better, most IMers are going to keep using them. Instant Cash Business Ideas

Obviously, however that doesn't imply that the Internet Marketers have to continue using them. What kind of worth can there be to an e-mail address that is only given under duress? Most of the time that person will elect to opt out of your list once they get their first e-mail. How great can your traffic seriously be if most of your visitors click out because they are offended by the pop up? Of course you need to earn a living but really--is this the only method to do it? Can’t there be an additional alternative available to folks who want to create e-mail lists and sell products?

The real truth is simply this: if you have a good product, you aren't going to need a pop up if you can present that product well. Concentrate on building a very high quality product so that you don't have to count on irritating pop up ads to do the job for you. Compose the sales and splash pages in a persuasive tone. Grab the reader's interest and then don't give it back using just the power behind your copy and site content. Here's the truth: Web entrepreneurs only find success and money on the net if the product that has been created is actually valuable. No pop up banner ad will ever be able to replace the true value of a product.
